TYPES OF ITEMS
What we value
- Gold coins
- Silver coins
- Coin collections
What is taken into account in the valuation?
- Issue, year, face value and visible markings.
- State of preservation, wear, damage and possible cleaning.
- Rarity, completeness and collector value separately from the metal value.
Which photos and details should I add?
Add the country, year and face value if you know them. Photograph both sides. Do not clean the coins before the valuation.
Add the type, year or markings and approximate quantity. For a collection, first photograph an overall view and then a few individual coins from both sides.
You don't need to know everything. Leave an optional field empty or choose “Don't know”. Photos are recommended, but you can continue without them.
Ordinary phone photos are fine. Please do not include personal data in the photos.
Preliminary valuation and final offer
Based on your description and photos, we give a preliminary valuation. It is not binding. We make the final offer once we have examined the item. The request does not oblige you to sell.
GOOD TO KNOW
Frequently asked questions
Should I clean the coin first?
Please do not clean it for the request. Cleaning can change the surface and reduce the collector value. Photograph the item as it is.
Is a silver coin always valued as metal?
No. The issue, rarity and state of preservation can give it a separate collector value. The weight of the metal alone does not show the full value.
How do I start with a large collection?
Describe the size of the collection and add an overall view and a selection of detail photos. Describe the collection in one text and add up to six photos. There is no need to describe each coin separately.
